Gartenglueck Wegendorf wedding | 在花园幸福的婚礼. Here you can see the second part of the wedding story of Therese and Clemence in Gartenglueck Wegendorf (Happiness Garden). The first part of their international, German-Chinese wedding, which they celebrated in the spring in the Soho House Berlin, can be seen here. This wedding day took place on a gray September day, though I was happily surprised with occasional sun rays peeking through the clouds. A soft light flowed through the windows into the room where the bride was getting ready. This is one of the most beautiful light settings in which I can portray a bride. Some of my favorite pictures were created with this atmospheric setting, where the wedding couple is savoring an instance of peace and togetherness. A silent moment of affection that I was delighted to capture. By the way, there were two wedding ceremonies that day – one Chinese and one German. The Chinese tea ceremony is the highlight of every Chinese wedding. The wedding couple, along with their family and friends are all served good tea. For me, the Chinese decoration and the ceremony blended wonderfully into the ambiance of the open, large garden in Brandenburg, which was slowly starting to show early signs of autumn. The grass in the meadow behind the estate was growing quite tall, so it poked here and there during our couple shoot. Despite being prickly, I’m always happy to see tall wheat in a meadow. It creates a framework for joy and connection.
