Boho Wedding Germany in the countryside | Uta and William from Berlin celebrated their summer boho wedding at Kulturgut Wrechen in Mecklenburg Vorpommern, Germany. The two met and fell in love on a blind date organized by their friends. The German-British couple has a lot in common: their love to travel, music, and volunteering.
Their wedding day started with getting ready at the location. Uta prepared for the day with her bridesmaids and William spent the morning with his best men. During their get ready for their big day we could create a lot of beautiful memories together so that the two could get an idea of what happened in the opposite room. For me as a wedding photographer, this particular preparation is always a special part of a wedding as it already tells a little story at the very beginning.
Their first look took place in the main building (the old German country house you see in the first picture). Here they could see each other in their wedding dress and suit for the very first time. Uta wore an alternative vintage, boho wedding dress with embroidered applications. Her bridal bouquet was a wonderful summer bouquet of wildflowers. William was inspired by British groom fashion, his shirt and tie contrasting bright yellow and blue. He bought most of his wedding suit and details in London.
On their wedding day, everything went together perfectly. The bride’s boho dress, the summery September weather, and the rural barn look of the venue. The wedding ceremony took place in a former boathouse with a lot of charm. The former host mother of William led the exuberant and happiness-filled ceremony. A friend of Will played some romantic guitar songs, as well as some sweet rock riffs.
At 5 p.m. it was time for Pimm’s o’clock. I never heard about that drink before, and it’s “ein Gedicht” as we say in German. It was so delicious and refreshing on this very warm summer day. As the main course, the wedding couple decided on a vegetarian menu. The regional and organic grown food fitted perfectly into the nature-loving setting and atmosphere of the wedding.
For the couple shoot of Uta and William, we started on the big meadow and the Lake ‘Wrechen’ beside the location. We were able to capture the natural aspect of the venue as well as the pure and authentic love between to two. We just contrasted this aspect with a small in-house shoot of the bride and groom in a dramatic light of the deep standing sun, shining through the window.
The evening followed. With their first dance, our bride and groom started a great party night for their family and best friends.
